“When you know a thing, to hold that you know it, and when you do not know a thing, to allow that you do not know it, this is knowledge.”

~ Confucius

International Services

Ultimately, business is people – and that’s true whether you operate exclusively in the local Australian marketplace, or whether you’re an importer, exporter, or both. We actively offer a range of services designed to support you in your international business activities.

Virtual Teams

Small organisations that spread their wings globally face significant problems in retaining the sense and spirit of teamwork which they might have taken for granted when every staff member worked from the one office. The challenges of geographic separation and different time zones are profound, but solutions do exist. With the right approach your worldwide “virtual team” can be every bit as effective as the team in your home office.

Getting the Right People for the Job

A Technical Officer in Tokyo? A Human Resources Manager in Hong Kong? Whatever your needs, we can help. With some exceptions we don’t operate as a conventional recruitment agency within Australia. But we do specialise in getting the right people for key roles in internationalised companies. Naturally this includes ensuring that the newcomer (and family if appropriate) is prepared for the challenges of working in a foreign country.

Doing Business in Another Culture

Do you return a “wai” in Thailand? Does "yes" mean "yes" in India? Do you start off with all your cards on the table in Germany? Do you bow in Japan? These and countless other cultural nuances are traps for the unwary businessperson. But while you can’t necessarily learn every variation overnight, you can certainly learn strategies which will make sure you navigate the cultural currents with a maximum of comfort.

Training

Delivery of training overseas offers a number of significant challenges. We successfully train local employees for companies represented in a number of Asian and European locations. By popular local demand, we regularly run a range of general “public” courses in SE Asia.

Foreign Acquisitions

Working with companies who have acquired (or been acquired by) foreign companies to achieve cultural harmony and a synergy of systems and resources to ensure the opportunities and returns are maximised and long term goals secured.

International Services

We have standing business arrangements with like-minded organisations in many parts of the world, including Canada and the USA, the UK and continental Europe, as well as Thailand, Indonesia, Japan and New Zealand. This wide geographic spread offers us secure stepping-stones into virtually all parts of the world.
